The Mexican Secretariat of Foreign Affairs issued a statement today categorically rejecting any links to alleged criminal acts in Ecuador. Specifically, it refers to the accusations against President Daniel Noboa and his ministerial cabinet following the elections in that country, clarifying that Mexico does not maintain diplomatic relations with Ecuador.

In the statement, the Mexican Foreign Ministry declared the following: "Mexico firmly rejects any relationship with the alleged criminal acts that occurred in Ecuador. The accusations against the Ecuadorian president and his ministerial team are unfounded and lack basis. Our country has no involvement in such events and reiterates its respect for the sovereignty of Ecuador and its democratic process."
