Today it was announced the passing of Pope Francis, news that shocked Mexico and the global community. President Claudia Sheinbaum expressed her condolences, highlighting the humanistic legacy of the pontiff, focused on the poor, peace, and equality, mentioning that knowing him was an honor and privilege.

On another topic, Sheinbaum dismissed rumors of an alleged agreement between the Ministry of Public Education and Coca-Cola, stating that no agreement has been made and that the program to promote healthy eating in public schools continues. Additionally, she sent an initiative to prohibit ideological political advertising from foreign governments in Mexico.

On the other hand, it was reported that the Secretary of the Interior, Rosa Icela Rodríguez, will represent Mexico at Pope Francis's funeral in the Vatican. The Security Cabinet also presented results on the reduction of intentional homicides, highlighting a decrease of 32.9% during Sheinbaum's administration. Reports were made on the arrests of significant criminals and an attack on elements of the Secretariat of Citizen Security in Guanajuato, where, unfortunately, a sub-official lost their life.

In her morning conference, Sheinbaum addressed security issues and highlighted the importance of national sovereignty. She criticized those seeking foreign intervention in internal matters, reaffirming that Mexico resolves its problems in an autonomous and sovereign manner.
