The Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS) confirmed that its delegate in Tamaulipas, José Luis Aranza Aguilar, was detained and later released by elements of the State Guard following a vehicle inspection that revealed no evidence of a crime. The State Security spokesperson indicated that at 11:50 hours on Tuesday, elements of the State Guard detected a white RAM truck with plates from the State of Mexico that matched a theft report issued by C4. The vehicle was stopped on Francisco I. Madero Street between Benito Juárez and Ignacio Zaragoza, where an inspection was carried out with the consent of the occupants.

"Upon checking the interior of the vehicle, no indications constituting a crime were found," the spokesperson detailed. The agents verified the names of the occupants, including the driver, identified as Jesús Adrián Sánchez Maldonado, and the co-pilot, José Luis Aranza Aguilar, against the Plataforma México system, with no irregularities found. After the inspection, "they were informed they could continue on their way, remaining uneventful for the motorized elements.

Additionally, the IMSS released an informational card confirming that the detained official was the head of the Decentralized Administrative Operations Body (OOAD) of the Institute in Tamaulipas. "He was detained by state police while driving on Francisco I. Madero Avenue (Street 17) and later released after the government of Tamaulipas did not confirm the existence of weapons or money during their inspection, nor any other evidence constituting a crime." The Institute defended the official's career, stating that "he has over 33 years of experience in the Institute and has served with integrity."

It also assured that "it carries out investigations and actions against possible acts of corruption, particularly in supply issues, and will not relent in the fight against illegality." Although preliminary reports disseminated by local media indicated that Aranza Aguilar was detained in possession of an unlicensed firearm and 3 million pesos in cash, the authorities denied this situation. The IMSS reiterated its commitment to transparency, accountability, and the implementation of "anti-corruption actions based on zero impunity and the strengthening of reporting mechanisms."
