Organized crime groups carried out blockades with burning trucks on various highways in Michoacán after a confrontation with federal forces. The State Public Security Secretariat (SSP) reported that agents from the SSP, National Defense, and National Guard deployed operations at different points in the state to address the situation.

Operational actions intensified in regions such as Zamora, Zacapu, Apatzingán, La Piedad, and Morelia with the aim of identifying those responsible for the blockades and protecting the population. Security forces work together to restore traffic and ensure the safety of citizens. In Tierra Caliente, a convenience store was also reported to be on fire, attended by Civil Protection and firefighters.

Some of the points where blockades and vehicle fires took place include highways such as La Piedad – Ecuandureo – Zamora, La Piedad – Pénjamo, Eastern Bypass of La Piedad, La Piedad – Yurécuaro, Tanhuato – Vista Hermosa, Yurécuaro – Tanhuato, Numarán – Zináparo, and Pénjamo – Abasolo.

Authorities continue to work to address the situation in Michoacán, which has been marked by violence and confrontations between criminal groups and security forces.
