
Today, Saturday, May 3rd, the Hoy No Circula program will be in effect in several localities, including Atizapán de Zaragoza, Ixtapaluca, Coacalco de Berriozábal, La Paz, Cuautitlán, Naucalpan de Juárez, Cuautitlán Izcalli, Nezahualcóyotl, Chalco, Nicolás Romero, Chimalhuacán, Tecámac, Chicoloapan, Tlalnepantla de Baz, Ecatepec de Morelos, Tultitlán, Huixquilucan, and Valle de Chalco.
Vehicles with plates ending in odd numbers (1, 3, 5, 7, 9) of hologram 1 will not be able to circulate today. Cars with hologram 2 and foreign plates will also be affected. However, those with holograms 0 and 00 will be exempt from the restriction.
Additionally, the program does not apply to private vehicles of health sector workers, ambulances, people with disabilities, or authorized electric vehicles.
Despite the poor air quality experienced on Friday, May 2nd, no environmental contingency was declared, so there will not be a double Hoy No Circula this Saturday.
It is important to remember that the Hoy No Circula aims to reduce pollution in Mexico City and the surrounding municipalities, affecting 16 boroughs of CDMX and 18 municipalities in the State of Mexico in the Metropolitan Area of the Valley of Mexico.
