Ministerial Candidate Advocates for Social Justice in Mexico

The candidate for minister of the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation (SCJN), Sergio Molina Martínez, met with university students at the Parque de los Venados in southern Mexico City. During the meeting, Martínez expressed his excitement at hearing his former students debate rigorously and passionately about the future of justice in Mexico.

In his speech, the candidate addressed the importance of transforming the Supreme Court so that it faithfully represents the people and is not perceived as a distant institution. He also highlighted the relevance of the youth's voice in building authentic social justice.

The event concluded with expressions of support, applause, and selfies, evidencing the strong interest of new generations in influencing the transformation of the country. It was emphasized that there is a need to participate in the elections and vote for candidate number 55 on the purple ballot on June 1.

During the dialogue, reflections were made on May 1 as Labor Day and discussions were held on social justice. The presence of Molina Martínez's former students at the event gave it a special character, given his extensive commitment to teaching labor law throughout his career.

Martínez reiterated his conviction that access to social justice must be real and tangible for all sectors of society, especially for the youth, workers, and vulnerable groups. In this regard, he urged young people to get involved, question, propose, and actively participate in the democratic life of the country.
