In 2025, the state of Querétaro will receive a total of 247.1 million pesos from the federal government from the Public Security Contribution Fund (FASP), representing an increase of 3.8% compared to the previous year. This increase aims to strengthen security efforts in the region.

The agreement between the federation and the state government, published in the official newspaper La Sombra de Arteaga, details that the entity will receive 9 million pesos more than in 2024, raising the figure to 308.9 million pesos (an amount that includes contributions from the federation).

These resources, granted by the Executive Secretariat of the National Public Security System, will be primarily allocated for the acquisition of equipment and technology for the State Police and local corporations, as well as training for personnel.

The Public Security Contribution Fund will be used to fulfill the five strategic axes of the National Public Security System and its ten National Priority Programs. These programs range from strengthening the penitentiary system to the development of forensic sciences and police professionalization.

In March, the state government delivered 63 patrol cars to the police of 10 municipalities and the State Police, with a joint investment of 123 million pesos between the federation and the entity. This financial support seeks to improve security conditions in Querétaro and strengthen the work of local authorities.
