97 elements of the Proximity Police of Escobedo (Proxpol) have been awarded the Police Merit Award for their participation in crime prevention and their commitment to the safety and well-being of the community. The awards ceremony was conducted by Mayor Andrés Mijes, who was accompanied by the Secretary of Citizen Security, Marco Antonio Zavala, and other members of the police force.

In a message directed to the gathered officers, Mijes highlighted the importance of having a world-class police force in Escobedo, which serves as a reference for the families of the city. He also emphasized the commitment to continue working together to ensure that the local police is the best in Nuevo León and an example at the national and international levels.

The mayor stressed that Escobedo has a quality police force, unique in the region with Triple Clear Accreditation, positioning it as a model to follow. Through these awards, the municipal administration seeks to motivate the officers and reinforce their commitment, demonstrating that their work has a positive impact on the safety of families.

Additionally, Mijes mentioned that the police of Escobedo adheres to the coordination strategies led by the Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection, under the direction of Omar García Harfuch. With this award, the city reaffirms its commitment to continue building a safe, strong, and supportive community, where merit and dedication are always recognized.

The awards ceremony was also attended by the Municipal Treasurer, Jaime Zurricanda, and Councilor Ivonne Nataly Moreno.
