Governor Salomón Jara Cruz presents achievements of 2025

Governor Salomón Jara Cruz announced that the year 2025 will mark the consolidation of the Oaxacan Spring, focusing on specific actions to improve living conditions in the eight regions of the state. During his First Quarterly Report of 2025, the Governor presented the achievements of his administration in areas such as infrastructure, education, health, social programs, culture, governance, security, and mobility.

In the words of the Governor: "Our purpose is to continue transforming and fulfilling the historic debt to our people, through will, work, and honesty, doing what has never been done before." With concrete data, Jara Cruz demonstrated that his administration has surpassed previous administrations in actions, especially benefiting the most vulnerable sectors of the population.

Regarding infrastructure, a 231% increase in investment dedicated to road construction was highlighted, rising from 550 million pesos annually to 2,614 million pesos executed in 324 projects between 2023 and 2024. In the water sector, a total of 912.7 million pesos was allocated through the State Water Commission for Welfare and the Operator System of Drinking Water and Sewerage Services, exceeding the previous investment by more than 13 times.

The economic, political, and social improvement experienced in Oaxaca was emphasized, with projects such as the Margarita Maza Dam, the Health City, the Comprehensive Drinking Water Supply Program, the sanitation of the Atoyac and Salado rivers, among others. Additionally, the progress of the Interoceanic Corridor of the Isthmus of Tehuantepec positions the entity as an optimal place for long-term investments.

Jara Cruz emphasized that each municipality has at least one project promoted by his administration, in contrast to previous governments, which has led to Oaxaca becoming the southern-southeastern state with the highest number of executed public works, thus promoting regional development. As of March 2025, 8,695.6 million pesos were authorized for the execution of 2,917 projects in the infrastructure sector.
