During the night of May 4, near the Guelatao subway in Iztapalapa, Mexico City, an incident occurred in which an alleged harasser exposed himself to a minor inside public transportation. Other passengers reacted immediately, causing a fight that culminated with the man being taken off the vehicle to be lynched on Ignacio Zaragoza street.
In circulating videos, the man can be seen lying on the asphalt with bloodstains on his clothes, while two passengers remain next to him until the authorities arrive. Members of the Mexico City Citizen Security Secretariat intervened and arrested the individual, who was beaten by the mob that had formed at the scene.
Amid the confusion and insults from witnesses, the alleged harasser complained about the assaults suffered. So far, his identity and other personal details have not been revealed. Users on social media expressed outrage over the harassment suffered by the minor and acknowledged the intervention of those who helped detain the aggressor. Videos shared online show the moment when the man is beaten after exposing himself to the young woman.
