The Second District Court in the state of Morelos, led by Judge Ana Columba Contreras Martínez, denied the amparo requested by Ulises Bravo Molina on April 30. Bravo Molina's defense had filed an indirect amparo under case number 1472/2024 against his formal charging for domestic violence.
The issued ruling considered that the defense's arguments lacked legal grounds, labeling them as "ineffective and unfounded." The official document specifies that the Union Justice rejects protecting Ulises Bravo Molina against the contested act, based on the fourth consideration of the resolution.
The resolution also ordered personal notification to the involved parties, including interested third parties. Nahum Rodrigo Flores Meza, the defense attorney for Liu León Luna, Bravo Molina's ex-partner and mother of his child, confirmed that the federal court determined sufficient evidentiary elements supporting the formal charging for domestic violence.
The Appellate Court of the Judiciary of Morelos had already favored Liu León Luna on November 4, 2024, revoking a previous non-charging order issued at first instance. The possibility of presenting a new complaint for potential additional offenses is being evaluated. Although there is no concrete evidence of political influences in the case, there are suspicions of maneuvers favoring the accused in the initial stages of the process.
Liu León Luna's defense trusts that the process will unfold with impartiality and without privileges, expressing support for the judicial authorities. The next ruling, issued by the Second Chamber of the First Circuit of the High Court of Justice of the State, presided over by Magistrate Alejandra Hernández García, could determine anything from preventive detention to house arrest for Ulises Bravo Molina.
