Ulises Carlín de la Fuente has held the position of Legal Advisor to the Government of Nuevo León since 2022, advising Samuel García on legal matters and being responsible for the Executive Power's Transparency Unit. Previously, he worked at the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit at the federal level in positions such as Director of Legal Instrumentation and Deputy General Director of Legal in the Coordination Unit with Federal Entities.
To access the Supreme Court, Carlín de la Fuente aims to promote transparency and closeness with citizens. His career includes work in courts in Nuevo León, as well as in the Ministry of Finance and General Treasury of the State. In the private sector, he worked as a lawyer specializing in tax and administrative law.
In a recent interview with Milenio, he stated: "I have the desire to serve, the knowledge of justice, not only as an authority, but I have also been a citizen and have had to knock on doors, I have had to see that slow justice." Carlín describes himself as a candidate with a technical profile committed to improving the Mexican judicial system.
After being evaluated by the Judicial Power Evaluation Committee, passing the suitability tests, he is running for a position on the Supreme Court. His candidacy stands out among other candidates aligned with Morena, for his technical approach and objectives to improve the judicial system.
Ulises Carlín de la Fuente holds a law degree from the Autonomous University of Nuevo León, where he also completed a master's degree in Public Law and finished a doctorate in Law at the University of Monterrey. Throughout his academic career, he has received distinctions and has pursued additional studies in various branches of law.
