Samuel García, governor of Nuevo León, stated that it is an honor to lead an entity with a vision for the future, building a legacy not only for the coming years but for the following centuries. On the occasion of the 201 years of history of the state, he emphasized the importance of continuing to demonstrate that the future of Mexico is forged in Nuevo León.
In his message, García thanked his cabinet and authorities at all three levels for their joint work in key areas such as mobility, education, health, economy, security, among others. He highlighted that the state has made significant progress in various aspects thanks to coordination and joint effort.
The governor mentioned that the state has a new Constitution, approved two years ago by the Sovereign Congress of Nuevo León, which lays the foundation for the creation of secondary laws that regulate and promote issues such as artificial intelligence, climate change, and automation, challenges that define the present.
García emphasized that if important achievements have been reached in three years of work, it is promising to think about the potential for the next 10, 20, or 30 years for Nuevo León. He stressed that current challenges differ from those of two centuries ago and highlighted the spirit of overcoming and resilience of the state in the face of adversities such as hurricanes and pandemics.
The governor underscored the importance of Nuevo León continuing to be a conducive place for the comprehensive development of its inhabitants, with equity and respect, strengthening coexistence and political peace. He emphasized the need to work in unity for the welfare and progress of all regions, betting on a Nuevo León where everyone can grow equitably.
On the occasion of the state's bicentennial as a free and sovereign entity, García called for reflection on the era of accelerated transformations in which we live and the need for a new beginning based on learning from the past to chart a promising future for Nuevo León and future generations.
