The Government of Mexico joins the mission to promote equality and combat violence, in the words of the Secretary of Women, Olivia Salomón, during the signing of a Framework Collaboration Agreement with the National Lottery for the Promotion and Dissemination of Women's Rights. She emphasized the importance of fostering rights and social reflection to achieve significant changes for the benefit of Mexican women.
The National Lottery, with a history dating back to 1770, joins this historical cause to accompany the struggle of women in the social construction of the country. The role of women as anonymous heroines, who have been fundamental in history despite being overlooked, was highlighted. The signing of this agreement aims to promote women's rights through the dissemination of the Charter of Rights using lottery tickets.
Olivia Salomón pointed out that the Government of Mexico places women at the center of its policies, ensuring that the Charter of Women's Rights will reach every corner of the country. Furthermore, the importance of a cultural change that supports public policies and legislation in favor of equality was emphasized.
The National Lottery will distribute more than 21 million tickets monthly with the QR code of the Charter of Women's Rights, turning them into vehicles for the dissemination of women's and girls' rights throughout the country. The Agreement includes the printing and distribution of brochures at thousands of points of sale, making ticket sellers promoters of equality.
Various personalities involved in this commitment were present at the event, including an emblematic ticket seller and the president of the Foreign Agents Association. The significance of a cultural change to support actions in favor of equality was underscored, promoting reflection in society on how to contribute to living in equality and without violence.
