Conflicts within the 4T in Mexico are becoming increasingly evident, with differences between allied parties and internal disagreements. In this regard, the senator from the PT in San Lázaro, Reginaldo Sandoval, made it clear that they are independent and autonomous parties, despite the alliance with Morena at the national level.
Sandoval emphasized that the PT has its own principles, action program, and statutes, stating that they helped create Morena but maintain their independence. Tensions have become more noticeable with Morena's stance of not allowing candidacies from family members and re-elections in the 2027 elections.
In this context, the PT seeks to gather disgruntled personalities with Morena to offer them a political space without legal or political restrictions. It is noted that, like the PT, the Green Party has promoted candidacies that could deepen the frictions within the coalition.
The coordinator of the PT's position reflects the internal discontent in the 4T, where disagreements and diverging interests among allied parties are evident. The presidential initiative to eradicate nepotism has sparked conflicts and tensions that could influence the political landscape ahead of the upcoming elections.
