The president of the Instructing Section of the Chamber of Deputies, Hugo Eric Flores Cervantes, has stated that the request for the lifting of immunity against Alejandro 'Alito' Moreno Cárdenas, president of the PRI, is still in process and not closed. It is expected that the Attorney General's Office of Campeche will provide new information about the complaint for illicit enrichment filed against Moreno Cárdenas so they can determine if the declaration of admissibility proceeds.
Flores Cervantes explained that the file of the PRI leader is currently in the hands of the instructing section and mentioned that they hope to learn any relevant developments from the Attorney General's Office of Campeche. Regarding the injunctions held by Moreno Cárdenas, the president of the Instructing Section indicated that these could be decisive in the resolution of the case once more details are available.
In relation to the case of Cuauhtémoc Blanco, where the lifting of immunity had previously been 'granted' despite accusations of sexual abuse, Flores Cervantes pointed out that the matter is not closed but is on hold because the Attorney General's Office of Morelos has not yet conducted a thorough investigation in this regard. The legislator called on the attorney's office to carry out an appropriate investigation that provides the necessary elements to move forward with the procedure.
In response to previous assertions about a supposed ruling that closed the case, Hugo Eric Flores Cervantes clarified that no such document exists and that his team has not found any evidence that the matter has been concluded. He emphasized the importance of having a formal ruling from the instructing section to proceed with the pertinent processes.
