This Saturday afternoon, the 'Generation Z' march is taking place in Mexico City. During this mobilization, attempts to enter the National Palace, the seat of the executive branch headed by President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, have been reported. In response to the toppling of some protective barriers on the perimeter of the building, security forces have implemented strategies of retreat to contain the attendees and prevent access to the building. According to reports from people present at the demonstration, gases, presumably tear gas, have been used as part of these strategies, which are a response to the launching of firecrackers and rocks by some participants in the mobilization.
