The President stated that the government will maintain negotiations with transporters and peasants, but commitments will only be those that can be fulfilled. The Bank of Mexico cut its growth forecast to 0.3% for 2025. Mexico is the country in Latin America where poverty has been reduced the most: inequality decreased by 14% in the last decade. The central bank is considering an acceleration of the economy to 1.1% in 2026, with inflation at the target of 3%. The Federal Prosecutor's Office (FGR) has confirmed an investigation against the co-owner of Miss Universe in a case of drug trafficking, fuel theft, and arms trafficking. Raúl Rocha, who is accused, led a criminal group that had the support of officials and former prosecutors. Authorities stated that hoarders are blocking the new water law because they sell water for 300 million pesos that they receive for free. The governor stated that dialogue is aimed at finding a way out, and the budget prioritizes welfare, health, and education.
