A meeting between the deputy Pedro Haces and the Grand Sephardic Rabbi David Yosef caused confrontations within the Chamber of Deputies. The meeting, originally scheduled for the Legislators' Hall, had to be moved to the deputy's private office due to protests from Morena and PT legislators. The legislator María Magdalena Rosales Cruz denounced that she was denied access to the meeting when she tried to enter carrying a Palestinian flag. A sector of the governing coalition's deputies spoke out against Yosef, whom they described as 'a Zionist who promotes the genocide in Palestine and is with the murderous army of Israel'. In turn, Pedro Haces stated that the visit was casual and part of a business delegation, emphasizing that his office is open to everyone. Deputy Manuel Vázquez Arellano criticized Haces for receiving those who defend the genocide in Gaza.
