Mexican civil organization Causa en Común warned on Saturday that a total of 336 police officers were killed in Mexico during 2025, averaging one per day, an 8% increase from the same period in 2024. The 'Police Killed 2025' report details that between December 12-18 of last year alone, four police homicides were documented in the states of Puebla (central), Sinaloa (northwest), Tabasco (southeast), and State of Mexico (central). 'In 2025 so far, at least 336 police officers have been killed, on average one per day, and 8% more than in the same period of 2024,' the NGO stated in a press release. It also recalled that from October 1, 2024, to December 18, 2025, the organization registered the homicide of at least 430 police officers.
