President Claudia Sheinbaum launched a Christmas video message on December 24 from the National Palace. In the broadcast she stressed that the most important values are love for people, family, and our beloved Mexico. The message highlighted holiday traditions and images such as a Christmas tree and decorations.
"The most important thing is not the material, but the values and love for others."
She also noted that the morning sessions known as the "Mañanera del Pueblo" would be suspended from the 24th to the 26th and would resume over the weekend in the Treasury Hall. She wished all Mexican families a Merry Christmas and urged people to strengthen harmony, solidarity, and respect.
During the clip, Sheinbaum was surrounded by military personnel and walked through the palace halls, showcasing the festive atmosphere.
