According to investigations, the detainee coordinated the sale and distribution of drugs in the state capital, as well as the recruitment of people for activities related to organized crime and disputes over territorial control, trafficking routes, and the neutralization of opposing groups. Authorities indicated that the raided homes are linked to the criminal group 'Los Salazar,' affiliated with the Sinaloa Cartel, which is also dedicated to extortion and arms trafficking. During the raids, firearms, ammunition, narcotics, cash, vehicles, mobile phones, information storage devices, and properties were secured, which were sealed and placed under police custody. The operation was the result of an investigation that lasted four months, initiated by information obtained by the Naval Intelligence Unit, and included analysis of criminal patterns, as well as fixed and mobile surveillance. The operation was led by the Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection (SSPC) through the National Intelligence Center (CNI), in coordination with the Secretariat of the Navy (Semar), the Attorney General's Office (FGR), the Secretariat of National Defense (Defensa), the National Guard (GN), as well as state security and justice authorities. The Security Cabinet emphasized that the operation required a simultaneous and coordinated execution to prevent a possible reaction from the criminal cell. Federal and state authorities detained 30 people allegedly members of a criminal cell dedicated to drug sales, extortion, and recruitment, following the execution of 12 simultaneous raids in various homes in the state capital of Querétaro. According to official information, 21 men and nine women were detained during the operation. Among them is Diego Salazar and/or Luis Gustavo Agapito Millán, alias 'El Flaco' or 'Jony,' identified as the leader of the criminal cell and one of the main operators of the Beltrán Leyva criminal group in the region.
