The mayor of Escobedo, Andrés Mijes Llovera, responded to the constant publications from members of the Citizen's Movement (MC) regarding the orange party leading in approval ratings heading towards 2027. He criticized Mariana Rodríguez, the most competitive profile from MC according to various polls, saying that unlike him, she is not a politician but is a good communicator. "I believe I am the best-positioned politician, and Mariana is an excellent woman who communicates very well... I am proud to be a politician because I am a politician, I dedicate myself to governing and delivering results, and that is the most important thing to me," said the mayor of Escobedo.
