U.S. President Donald Trump pointed out this Monday that Mexican authorities must 'intensify their efforts' against the drug cartels following the military operation this Sunday against the leader of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG), Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, alias 'El Mencho'.

'Mexico must intensify its efforts against the cartels and drugs!', he indicated in a message on social media after echoing an interview with the director of the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Derek Maltz.

With this brief message, the U.S. president reacted to the operation against 'El Mencho', considered the head of the CJNG, who died while being transferred to Mexico City.

The operation left dozens dead among security forces, civilians, and members of this criminal organization, the largest in all of Mexico.

'The good are more than the bad. Congratulations to the law enforcement forces of the great Mexican nation.'
