Senator Waldo Fernández commented this Monday on the detention of Nuevo León's official Karina Barrón, whom he accused of 'staging an evidently false accusation' against him, and said he had proof of this. On Monday, President Claudia Sheinbaum backed the complaint against Barrón and assured she was aware of the facts allegedly committed by the associate of the PRI leader, Alejandro Moreno Cárdenas. In addition, she announced that she has asked the relevant authorities for the hearing to be public. 'I cannot say much, but the evidence is very compelling.'
