The PRI-PAN Front is accelerating its talks with Morena to, this Wednesday, approve the local Congress Budget, Electoral Reform, and Transparency Reform. The problem is that Morena, at the national level, rejects any decentralized body dependent on control bodies. This issue has been problematic for several Morena governors since the previous six-year term, and Luisa María, with her agreement with PRI and PAN, is once again giving strength to this figure in Nuevo León. By the way: it would be interesting to understand the next moves of legislative coordinator Mario Soto, who must lead a faction dominated by as personal and disparate agendas as they are. Since Morena imposed its conditions on the 2026 Budget, as LPO was able to learn, the budgetary opinion was prepared together with the opposition. This would be issued this week to approve social programs, mobility subsidies, a larger budget for municipalities and autonomous bodies, all this without considering taking on debt. They are also preparing to approve the Electoral Reform, postponing the mandatory nomination of women in municipalities where there has never been a female candidacy until 2030, benefiting the opposition in Santiago, Apodaca, or San Nicolás. In response to the latest requests from the president of Morena, Luisa María Alcalde, both Escobedo Mayor Andrés Mijes and the gubernatorial candidate Tatiana Clouthier would be promoting these negotiations. If it materializes, it would be a frontal blow to the state Executive. From the 4T faction they tell LPO that the vote will be unanimous and thus the directive of Luisa María Alcalde to approve the Budget without taking on debt will be fulfilled. In exchange for the votes, local deputy Anylú Bendición agreed with the Front to maintain the decentralized body of Transparency, an office dominated by the PAN.
