For now, everything indicates that the candidacy will be led by a man; but if that changes, the ecologist party seeks to have a woman ready to place on the negotiating table. The mayor of Benito Juárez, Ana Patricia Peralta, alongside Governor Mara Lezama. In this way, the Green Party begins to prepare responses for possible scenarios of disputes that may escalate in the coming months, when the 4T begins to define its candidates for 2027. Her candidacy is promoted by the Green Party, which finds in him the strongest figure to succeed Lezama. For the upcoming elections, the toucan is putting forward the candidacy of Senator Gino Segura, but is preparing a second option for possible turbulence: the mayor of Benito Juárez, Ana Patricia Peralta de la Peña. The disputes between Morena, the Green Party, and the PT exist throughout the country, but in Quintana Roo they take on greater force due to the state being special for the toucan. The toucan, for its part, demands command in two particular entities: San Luis Potosí and Quintana Roo. It is there that the leader of the ecological force, Jorge Emilio, operates at the national level, who managed to promote the current governor, Mara Lezama, through an agreement with then-president Andrés Manuel López Obrador. In the run-up to 2027, his team is not willing to cede the succession, so it is analyzing two possible candidacies. The version of Luisa María's departure is growing, and Ariadna is already sounding like a possible replacement. The first and strongest is that of Senator Gino Segura, a young figure with a strong presence on social media and access to the National Palace. One of these, for example, is Quintana Roo, where today he governs hand-in-hand with Mara Lezama. However, the Green Party fears that Morena will try to lead the ticket with the recently named delegate for Well-being in the state, Rafael Marín Mollinedo. His departure from the customs directorship was not well received by the toucans, who know that these appointments are to promote executive candidacies. Faced with this scenario, the toucan is already preparing the possible promotion of the mayor of Benito Juárez, Ana Paty Peralta. In the first one, Senator Ruth González is already profiled, and in the second, both her party colleague Gino Segura and Ana Paty Peralta. The green leader was a federal deputy in 2018 and strengthened herself at the helm of one of the country's most important tourist centers, Cancún, since 2021, and won her re-election in 2024. The 17 governorships at stake are coveted by both parties, which will seek to lead the tickets in most of them. Despite internal tensions and the risks facing the ruling party in the face of the 2027 elections, the Green Party is determined to maintain its power structures. The party leadership is analyzing her profile in case of a possible gender change on the ticket.
