Mexico City opens space for citizen proposals

The Government of Mexico City offers a space for citizens to express their complaints or proposals directly to the Head of Government, Clara Brugada, and members of her Cabinet. This initiative is part of the third day of the Zócalo of the Citizen Government, where local authorities commit to listening to the needs of the population and providing answers to various issues that may arise, whether related to security, infrastructure, or other areas of interest.

The Zócalo of the Citizen Government is a series of citizen hearings that was inaugurated by the administration of Clara Brugada in the Zócalo of Mexico City. In these hearings, the Head of Government, along with the heads of the Cabinet ministries, focus on addressing the requests and questions of citizens in order to directly tackle the issues affecting the capital.

The third day of the Zócalo of the Citizen Government will take place on Tuesday, October 22, at 10:00 AM. To participate, interested citizens must arrive early at the Zócalo of Mexico City, where tickets will be distributed starting at 8:00 AM to ensure participation in the event. The hearings will officially begin at 10:00 AM, and a large turnout of citizens is expected.

During the event, attention tables will be set up by each ministry, where citizens can present their demands and receive relevant information. Clara Brugada has emphasized the importance of these days as a way to ensure transparency and direct communication between the government and the population. Her commitment to the citizenry is highlighted in her statement that, despite the personal sacrifices involved, she is willing to listen to and address all citizens who come to the Zócalo seeking solutions and answers to their concerns.
