Awards in Transparency Innovation 2024

The State Commission on Human Rights in Nuevo León was awarded first place in the state category for its local cartography initiative on violent deaths of women, adolescents, and girls. This project provides access to detailed information about unconstitutionality actions, controversies, and appeals under review, offering the population precise and accessible data.

On the other hand, the Autonomous University of the State of Mexico stood out for developing dynamic dashboards that facilitate the visualization of data related to higher education institutions, contributing to the analysis of educational quality and coverage. Meanwhile, the organization Data Cívica A.C. earned first place in the civil organizations category, thanks to its web platform "Vote Among Bullets" which addresses political-criminal violence.

Additionally, the Citizen Comptroller's Office of the Municipality of Guadalajara obtained first place in its category thanks to its project "Public Eye," while the 2024 Transparency Innovation Contest, organized by INAI, awarded 29 winning projects out of a total of 153 registered, thus achieving the highest participation in the history of the contest. In the federal category, the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation was recognized for its project "Judicial Statistics Portal @Iex."

The initiative for the contest responds to a recommendation from the United Nations Special Rapporteur on Violence Against Women and emphasizes the importance of promoting proactive transparency and digitalization as tools to combat corruption and improve public services. The award ceremony will take place on October 24 at the INAI headquarters, where the work of the awarded institutions and organizations will be recognized and disseminated.
