The Morena bench has firmly supported the territorial policy of President Claudia Sheinbaum, according to the coordinator of the faction, Ricardo Monreal, emphasizing their loyalty and commitment to her leadership. Monreal stated that they have promptly responded to all requests for reforms and pledged to continue acting faithfully towards the President and the party.
In response to the suspension ordered by Judge Nancy Juárez against a recent judicial reform, Morena plans to present two reform initiatives to protect the actions of the Judiciary. The aim is to amend Articles 105 and 107 of the Constitution to prevent lawsuits or controls against constitutional reforms.
During a meeting with Morena's leadership, led by Luisa María Alcalde Luján and Andrés Manuel López Beltrán, Monreal informed about the intention to present the initiatives alongside Senator Adán Augusto López. The goal is to reaffirm constitutional supremacy and reforming power, highlighting the importance of constitutional reform in the judicial field.
Monreal emphasized that there is resistance to the implementation of the reform of the Judiciary and mentioned that Morena's deputies are committed to strengthening territorial organization in every district, municipality, and state. All party members expressed their willingness to take on their responsibilities and support Claudia Sheinbaum.
In a message to the media, Monreal pointed out that no justice body had ever dared to challenge the Constitution in such a way and to undertake actions that transgress constitutional limits. He highlighted the historic opportunity that this legislative moment represents and the unprecedented intensity in the party's activity.
