The perspective of entrepreneurs and organizations in Mexico is diverse and heterogeneous. Although each individual or company has their own opinion, some typologies can be identified in general.
Some entrepreneurs are considering emigrating from the country or relocating part of their businesses due to their dissatisfaction with the so-called Fourth Transformation. While they are few, they exist. On the opposite end, there are those who supported López Obrador and now back Claudia Sheinbaum, believing that Morena's victory was the best for Mexico. They are also a minority, but they carry weight in the business sector.
In other cases, there are entrepreneurs who disagree with many proposals from the new government, but are willing to collaborate and adapt to the upcoming changes, such as judicial reform. Some business leaders maintain close dialogue with President Sheinbaum and other officials to find points of agreement.
On the other hand, there are entrepreneurs worried about the possible negative effects of judicial reform in the country, leading them to evaluate whether to expand their businesses in Mexico or seek other destinations. Foreigners tend to analyze the implications of investing in Mexico more objectively, considering advantages and disadvantages, while Mexican entrepreneurs often include emotional and political factors in their assessments.
The diversity of opinions among entrepreneurs reflects the uncertainty and challenges that the business sector faces in light of government reforms and announcements. Although there are discrepancies, it is essential for Sheinbaum's government to be open to listening to ideas and constructive criticisms from the business community to enrich its vision and achieve the desired economic and political success.
