Judge Nancy Juárez, from the Nineteenth District in Veracruz, responded to President Claudia Sheinbaum regarding the accusation that a letter was sent via a QR code to withdraw the reform to the Judiciary from the Official Gazette of the Federation (DOF). In an interview, the judge explained that she did not order the judicial reform to be taken down via a QR code, as the Legal Counsel informed Sheinbaum. "I believe they are providing false information to the president because I did not order notification by QR," she clarified.
Juárez emphasized that she delivered her letter physically, from court to court, as "they print it out and deliver it to the authority." She stated that she ordered notification through a summons to the president and that this was accompanied by a letter that is physically delivered, containing the complete resolution in its text. Sheinbaum's accusation was labeled as "false data" by the judge, who argued that "we do not handle notifications by QR."
In another context, during her morning conference, President Sheinbaum reported that the Legal Counsel had received a notification via QR code for the withdrawal of the judicial reform from the DOF. She explained that the notification from the judge contained a text and a QR code with no information. Prosecutor Ernestina Godoy notified that the QR was inactive and showed nothing, certifying that the notification "says nothing." Sheinbaum expressed her surprise and discontent with the situation.
