The National Association of Circuit Magistrates and District Judges of the Federal Judiciary announced through a statement the end of the judicial strike. This decision was made by the majority vote of the judges from all Judicial Circuits in Mexico, with work resuming next week.
The JUFED informed on its social media that employees will return to Courts and Judges on Monday, October 28, 2024. The institution indicated that the resumption of judicial activities responds to the decision of the judges, for the benefit of the population, while maintaining legitimate forms of protest and resistance.
For her part, President Claudia Sheinbaum commented that the judicial strike was initiated by a group of "conservatives" who do not respect the will of the people. She affirmed that the rights of the workers of the Judiciary will not be compromised and requested them to return to work, stating that everything will be more transparent in their management.
In the morning conference on Thursday, October 28, 2024, Sheinbaum urged workers to return to their duties without issues, following the instructions of the JUFED. She emphasized the importance of being responsible and exemplary in Mexico as a democracy.
