Possible DNA Retesting in Paternity Case

On the program of October 24, the host announced the possibility of repeating the DNA test between Luis Enrique Guzmán and Apolo. After questioning by Porfirio Ramírez, the minor's lawyer, about possible discrepancies in the chain of custody of the tests, the judge decided to suspend the ruling and open the possibility for new tests.

"The judge, after seeing Doctor of Law Porfirio Ramírez question both experts, who were responsible for conducting the DNA tests and finding apparent inconsistencies in the chain of custody of these tests, said: ‘I withdraw, meaning I do not issue a ruling today,’ and they asked again to open up to other tests," detailed Addis Tuñón.

According to Addis Tuñón, the possible inconsistencies in the chain of custody of the DNA tests could lead to the repetition of those tests. It is crucial for cases of this type to maintain strict control over the custody of the evidence to ensure its integrity and impartiality.

On the program "De primera mano," details were revealed indicating that there are still doubts about Apolo's paternity. The judge decided not to rule on the paternity case due to problems with the experts who conducted the DNA tests.

"Under the law, meticulous care and vigilance of this chain of custody are required; it is essential to monitor where these tests go, how they are conducted, and any other interests that could alter them," explained Addis Tuñón.

If the inconsistencies in the chain of custody are confirmed, it could have a decisive impact on the case and on Apolo's future. The veracity of the DNA tests is fundamental to determine paternity with certainty, so it is necessary to resolve the irregularities presented in this process.
