On Friday, October 25, a tragic event occurred in which two young men, identified as Axel Atiencia and Manuel Maya, were killed while participating in a religious ritual in memory of Andrik Herrera, who previously fell victim to an attack attributed to La Unión.
The assailants, presumed members of this criminal group, burst into the ceremony and opened fire, claiming the lives of those present. Axel Atiencia and Manuel Maya, cousins of Andrik Herrera, were considered merchants and alleged members of La Anti Unión.
