Supreme Court Minister Denies Allegations of Misconduct

The minister of the Supreme Court, Alberto Pérez Dayán, has rejected being the subject of an investigation for alleged abuses in the highest court. In a statement to LPO via a letter, Pérez Dayán stated: "I absolutely deny the accusations against me, which, in addition to being implausible, only seek to damage my reputation."

The presence of the issue in the court is due to the recent detention of a collaborator of Minister Norma Piña for alleged abuses. However, Pérez Dayán claims that he is not in a similar situation, clarifying: "I want to make it clear that I have not been made aware of any complaint against me."

Despite the fact that the CDMX Prosecutor's Office is allegedly investigating the minister for these reasons, the Court has categorically denied this accusation.
