The vice-coordinator of the Morena parliamentary group in San Lázaro, Alfonso Ramírez Cuéllar, joins the task of strengthening the internal organization of the party through his own structure called Building the Second Floor (CSP) 24-30. His objective is to boost Morena's presence in regions where it currently has none, such as Nuevo León and Chihuahua, and to reinforce Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo's position in the run-up to the mid-term elections.
Throughout his political career, Ramírez Cuéllar has maintained close links with the grassroots and the more progressive sectors of Morena. He seeks to coordinate his work with the leadership of Luisa María Alcalde and Andy López Beltrán, without establishing parallel structures, but rather complementing them with diverse perspectives and ways of operating.
Luisa María Alcalde, recently elected as party president, has announced plans to achieve an affiliation of ten million people and establish 70,000 local committees. This strategy focuses on consolidating the CSP 24-30 structure and boosting the legislative and territorial presence of Morena throughout the country.
Ramírez Cuéllar, despite not holding a formal leadership position in Morena after the renewal, will continue to work to strengthen the party's position in view of the 2027 elections. With a focus on significant elections in states like Nuevo León, Chihuahua, and Oaxaca, the formation of 38,000 grassroots committees is projected in the main states participating in those elections.
The internal restructuring process that the Morena government is undergoing after its victory in June indicates that intense organizational work is expected in the coming months. With an eye on the 2027 elections, where the country will renew half of its governorships, an effort to consolidate the 4T project in various political spheres at the national and territorial levels is anticipated. The coordinated actions of Ramírez Cuéllar and Luisa María Alcalde aim to strengthen the party's structure and enhance its presence in different key regions for Morena's political future.
