
Omar García Harfuch, the head of the Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection (SSPC), presented the Security Strategy Report during the Morning Conference of President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo on Tuesday, October 29, from the National Palace. 'The current strategy continues the achievements obtained previously and strengthens the four pillars of the National Security Strategy, previously established (...) in the Security Cabinet, intelligence and investigation efforts have been strengthened,' commented the federal official.
These were the results of the Security Strategy presented by García Harfuch after 28 days of government: 824 people were arrested for high-impact crimes, 33.8 tons of drugs were seized, 820 firearms were secured, and there was participation from 133,000 Armed Forces personnel. The National Guard was the organization that contributed the most to the actions.
Coordinated actions were carried out between Sedena, Marina, National Guard, FGR, State and municipal police. The arrest in flagrant of a person in Baja California with seven kilograms of fentanyl was reported, as well as the arrest in Guanajuato of a couple considered a priority target belonging to the Santa Rosa Cartel.
Additionally, a search was carried out in Guerrero resulting in the arrest of eight members of a criminal cell. In Jalisco, a person linked to the trafficking of fentanyl and firearms was arrested. In Michoacán, two vessels with more than 2 tons of drugs were secured.
After several investigative actions, in Nuevo León, a person known as José Alberto 'El vaquero' was arrested for his criminal ties with crime groups. In Quintana Roo, actions were taken to arrest Jesús 'N' for homicide. In Sinaloa, a priority target, 'El Max', chief of a cell affiliated with 'los Mayos', was arrested, and in Sonora, Javier Feliciano 'N', considered a generator of violence, was detained after investigative actions.
