Minister Juan Luis González Alcántara Carrancá rejected the statements of President Claudia Sheinbaum regarding the alleged resignation of the ministers of the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation (SCJN), stating that this action seeks to protect privileges. In an interview with Ciro Gómez Leyva on his Radio Fórmula program, González Alcántara defended the integrity of the ministers and questioned the official version surrounding their work at the Court.

The minister addressed the possibility of resigning from his position, although at that moment he assured that his determination would not be affected by the government's statements. In particular, González Alcántara mentioned the case of Minister Arturo Zaldívar, who stepped down with the highest pension in years, to illustrate that the accusations about the 'exaggerated benefits' of the ministers are unfounded.

'If the president believes that the amounts we would receive are what we are defending, she is mistaken,' said the minister, suggesting that public perception is distorted by a campaign that does not take into account the real costs of running the state, especially in comparison with the necessary expenditure to support a single person in the National Palace.
