Luis Enrique Guzmán has confirmed that he is not the father of Mayela Laguna's child, after a paternity test yielded negative results. The son of Silvia Pinal and Enrique Guzmán has recently learned this news and has initiated legal action regarding it.

In a statement, Luis Enrique Guzmán asked the media to stop mentioning Mayela Laguna and the child in question, as losing the Guzmán surname means they are no longer public figures. He also stated that he will not see Mayela Laguna again, as the authority has defined the parental responsibilities in the case.

Luis Enrique Guzmán's lawyer explained that Mayela Laguna will have the opportunity to appeal the judge's decision within 15 days. Furthermore, it has been decided not to request reimbursement for the maintenance of the child Apolo during the duration of the legal battle.

The judge handling the case has ruled that, according to the results of the DNA test, the child will lose the paternal surname. Luis Enrique Guzmán had anticipated this outcome days earlier, indicating that the next step would be the annulment of Apolo's surname.

In later statements, Luis Enrique Guzmán expressed that the ruling puts an end to a nightmare of deception that he, along with his family, was engulfed in for a year and a half. For her part, Mayela Laguna requested that her wish not to be mentioned anymore in the media be respected.

Mayela Laguna, visibly affected after the judge's decision, stated that the judge had not taken several aspects into consideration, and emphasized that her relationship with Luis Enrique Guzmán lasted for 12 years, despite the existing misconception.
