The president of Mexico City, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, is coordinating with the governors of Morena to expedite the approval of the judicial reform known as "constitutional supremacy." The initiative, presented by Juan Luis González Alcántara Carrancá, aims to ensure the validity of the judicial reform promoted by Andrés Manuel López Obrador.
Sheinbaum is working together with the governors to avoid potential obstacles that may arise in the Supreme Court regarding this reform. It is expected that the Congress of Mexico City will convene this Wednesday after the federal Chamber of Deputies approves the initiative and completes its own ordinary session, all at the direction of the National Palace, since this is a constitutional reform.
The ruling party of Morena is attentive to the voting in all legislative instances, closely observing the behavior of the opposition. They recalled that in the past certain initiatives were supported by parties like the PRI, so they are analyzing the trends present in these votes.
The strategy aims to include the "constitutional supremacy" initiative in the Official Gazette of the Federation before the Court rules next Tuesday, with the goal of safeguarding the validity of the judicial reform against possible adverse rulings.
It is anticipated that the reform will be ratified by at least 17 states of the Federation once it has been approved at the legislative level. Deputies and senators from Morena have taken measures to ensure the continuity and effectiveness of the reform, preparing for a process that remains in constant evolution.
