After the last hearing in the case regarding the paternity of her son, Mayela Laguna spoke to the media and claimed not to be a bad person. She defended herself against accusations from Luis Enrique Guzmán, stating that her son has only brought happiness and love to his family.
"Do not be fooled because Mr. Luis Enrique says that thanks to me his family has a bad reputation. I did not deceive anyone with malice, I do not owe anyone an apology because my son has only come to bring them happiness, love, and unconditional affection to that family (Pinal)," expressed the former partner of Luis Enrique Guzmán.
Mayela Laguna also mentioned that she herself was a victim of deceit, referring to the leaked audio in which she admitted to wanting to prolong the legal battle to see if Silvia Pinal passed away and her son could receive part of the inheritance.
"It’s not true that [Luis Enrique] loves him much, all of that is not true (...) He could not be anything, I will not allow him to be anything," she added regarding her son Apolo's interaction with Luis Enrique Guzmán.
Apolo's mother made it clear that she has no intention of appealing the judge's ruling and posted a video with her son, expressing: "Thus beginning a new story, standing tall and no longer giving any more explanations about anything, I am no longer interested, no more fighting against the current... Face forward and not looking back."
