The Government of Jalisco reported that they will address the observations detected in the second report of the 2023 Public Account by the Superior Audit Office of the Federation (ASF). These observations constitute 2% of the audited sample, which is just the first stage of auditing.
"It is important to inform that we are only in the initial instance of auditing and that the observations will be resolved in a timely manner, as has happened in previous years," the state government detailed in a statement.
The Government of Jalisco has stated that they have fully resolved the ASF observations, emphasizing that no damage to the public treasury or any irregularity has been identified in this process. The audit conducted detected observations amounting to 747 million pesos in the Fund for Contributions to Strengthen the Federal Entities of 2023, which is primarily managed by the Secretariat of Infrastructure and Public Works (SIOP).
