On Tuesday, October 29, the Chamber of Deputies announced the formation of the Evaluation Committee, responsible for determining the eligibility and suitability of candidates for the positions of judges in the extraordinary electoral process of 2024-2025. After being approved with 326 votes in favor, the five members of the Committee were sworn in.
In the midst of the ceremony presided over by Gerardo Fernández Noroña, Andrés Norberto García Repper Favila, along with the other members, assumed his position in the "Ifigenia Martínez Hernández" Protocol Hall.
After the swearing-in ceremony, internet users noticed the absence of Andrés Norberto García Repper Favila's profile on X, finding his account blocked or nonexistent, with a standard message from the site. Doubts arose about Repper's impartiality in the selection of candidates due to his position as Owner Representative of Morena in the Tamaulipas Electoral Institute.
Before his account disappeared, a description was captured that included that he is a lawyer, which fueled criticism from users, also pointing out possible offensive and misogynistic comments made by him on the platform.
