Jorge Romero, the new national leader of the National Action Party (PAN), issued a response to the allegations made by President Claudia Sheinbaum during her morning conference. The president accused Romero of leading the so-called Real Estate Cartel in Benito Juárez, an organization implicated in corruption regarding the issuance of construction permits.
Regarding these allegations, Romero stated that the president should promote unity instead of division from her position. He denied the accusations against him and mentioned that he resigned from his party membership to serve all citizens. He also questioned the lack of challenges against him concerning supposed links to the Real Estate Cartel, remaining open to dialogue despite the accusations.
Additionally, during his message, Romero criticized the crisis management carried out by the 4T government, pointing out an entertainment event attended by the governor of Guerrero while there were bodies in Chilpancingo. He compared this situation to a recent armed attack on a bar, highlighting the quick response of the governor of Querétaro in that case and offering the willingness of the PAN to collaborate with the government in addressing challenges.
Jorge Romero emphasized the importance of dialogue and collaboration between the PAN and the government, lamenting Sheinbaum's disqualifications. He expressed his willingness to seek joint answers and criticized the president's attitude in preferring defamation from her official position instead of fostering a cooperative environment.
