Within Morena, a movement called Building the Second Floor of the Transformation has emerged, which is independent of the party, according to federal deputy Alfonso Ramírez Cuéllar, who is also the Morena vice-coordinator in the Chamber of Deputies. Despite being independent, its purpose is to expand support for President Claudia Sheinbaum in civil society, without generating divisions within the Morena movement.
According to Ramírez Cuéllar, the objective of this movement is to continue Sheinbaum's campaign promises and bring Well-being programs to the communities that supported her, without engaging in partisan disputes. It is highlighted that this is a movement to support the President's programs with social and political backing, which has the support of people who are not part of the party.
The deputy mentioned that they have begun their work in the State of Mexico and that it is a joint effort with all sectors supporting Claudia Sheinbaum. It is important to emphasize that it has been clarified that they do not seek to divide the party or generate conflicts with anyone, despite the differences that may exist with other members of Morena, such as Ricardo Monreal.
By participating in various civil society forums and events outside of Morena, such as the panel Mexico2024: the political moment, organized by activists and progressive leaders, Ramírez Cuéllar has expressed his stance on the revitalization of the National Human Rights Commission (CNDH). Additionally, he has expressed the intention to extend this movement nationally and invite citizens to join, emphasizing that it is not related to political parties.
The deputy announced that they will focus on support programs for the countryside, farmers, ranchers, workers, unions, merchants, and universities, among other sectors. The intention is to inform and reinforce federal government programs through forums with various sectors, independent of partisan activity.
