The ratification in office of the Secretary of Finance, Rogelio Ramírez de la O, and 11 of his collaborators in the country's financial sector was approved by the full Chamber of Deputies with 362 votes in favor from Morena, the PT, and PVEM, and 89 against from the opposition formed by the PAN and the PRI. During the discussion, the opposition criticized the 'high indebtedness' of the previous government, while the government defended the appointments.
Among the ratified officials are Édgar Abraham Amador as Undersecretary, Antonio Martínez Dagnino as head of the SAT, Berta Gómez Castro as Undersecretary of Expenditures, Grisel Galeano as federal tax attorney, and other collaborators of Rogelio de la O in key positions in the Ministry of Finance.
The opposition accused the lack of tangible results in the administration of resources during the discussion. PAN deputy Eva María Vásquez expressed her party's rejection of the appointments, mentioning the lack of significant improvements in critical areas such as health, education, and security despite the growing indebtedness.
Despite divisions in its caucus, the PRI also criticized the increase in public debt from 10 to 16 trillion pesos during Morena's previous government. In contrast, the government defended the ratifications and accused the opposition of lacking political agreements and proper legislative procedures.
