
In the morning press conference of the President of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum, the topic of a possible meeting with the elected governor of Jalisco, Pablo Lemus Navarro, was addressed, with whom she has not had dialogue since his victory was recognized in the electoral instances. Juan Carlos Sagredo, a journalist from Jalisco, raised the question about the future meeting and the possible projects benefiting the people of Jalisco.
Sheinbaum responded that a meeting will take place once the elected governor assumes office, with the aim of collaborating on strategic projects for Jalisco, such as the cleanup of the Santiago River and other important initiatives.
Additionally, the topic of the budget allocated for 2025 by the new government of Jalisco was discussed, aimed at creating a public transportation system that connects the airport with the Akron Stadium, in preparation for the 2026 World Cup. In this regard, it was mentioned that there will be dialogue with the elected governor to address the issue and the honorary designation of Gabriela Cuevas to represent Mexico before various institutions was highlighted, along with the Ministry of Tourism, to assist in the preparations for the 2026 World Cup.
