Restructuring at the Institute of Political Training

The new leadership of Morena has decided to restructure the National Institute of Political Training (INFP) and reduce its staff. This measure has generated tensions among the different political groups within the party, as well as among the INFP staff, who fear that the changes will negatively affect their current responsibilities.

According to information obtained by LPO, in recent days, tension at the INFP has increased due to new instructions issued by Andy López Beltrán, son of the president and Secretary General of Morena. López Beltrán has ordered a restructuring at the INFP, arguing that there is a duplication of functions between his office and the Institute, which has triggered concern among employees.

In light of the existing discontent, the different party leaders are mutually shifting the responsibility to avoid facing the consequences with the institute's staff. Under the previous management led by Mario Delgado, the INFP focused on organizing committees, courses, and talks for the official militancy in coordination with various political sectors, which is now in doubt with the new directives from López Beltrán.

These new measures are related to López Beltrán's goal of enrolling at least ten million people in Morena. The restructuring aims not only for political and electoral purposes but also intends to prepare the party for the midterm elections of 2027, when numerous states of the country will renew their authorities.

The reform at the INFP, led by the new leadership of Morena, will affect various aspects of the party, including the National Institute of Political Training, whose leader is El Fisgón, a prominent figure of the 4T and an important representative within Morena.
