Tension between Yunes Linares and Uresti in Interview

On the morning of Friday, November 15, former governor Miguel Ángel Yunes Linares and host Azucena Uresti had a heated discussion during the broadcast, debating the recent decisions made by the National Action Party (PAN) against legislators.

At the beginning of the interview, Yunes Linares expressed his disagreement with the decision regarding his expulsion, which was issued by Marko Cortés, the party president. Azucena Uresti questioned the former governor about whether his relationship with PAN was affected by Jorge Romero's arrival at the leadership, to which Yunes Linares responded by maintaining his stance.

Tension began to rise when Uresti attempted to play an audio where Romero also referred to Yunes Linares and other legislators as "traitors." In response, the former governor showed his annoyance and mentioned that unnecessary qualifiers were being used in the discussion.

At one point in the interview, Uresti came to the defense of other journalists who had been mentioned earlier in the debate, asking not to use the space for personal attacks. Yunes Linares continued to defend his stance and decisions, especially regarding the Judicial Reform.

After a brief break in the interview due to the tension, Yunes Linares apologized upon returning, mentioning that he was agitated due to various circumstances. The discussion focused on the recent expulsion of Yunes Linares and his son from PAN, decisions based on their support for the Judicial Reform and the preservation of the party's values, according to an official statement issued by the PAN Order Commission.

Despite the evident differences and tensions during the interview, Yunes Linares concluded by asserting that they would not achieve his expulsion, remaining firm in his political positions and actions.
